James Jennings

James L. Jennings is a former NASA management executive with a distinguished career and lifetime commitment to the public sector. As a visionary leader, Jennings made outstanding contributions to the transformation of NASA’s culture, mission, and workforce throughout his three-decade tenure.

Originally from Alabama, he earned his two Master’s degrees at both Alabama A&M University and the University of Alabama in Huntsville.

As Associate Administrator at NASA’s Headquarters in Washington, DC, Jennings managed numerous functional portfolios and facilitated strategies for sensitive congressional briefings and delegation visits. He was the principal architect for the strategic blueprint for the NASA Shared Service Center (NSSC) – a centralized sharing of selected support services.

For the past 13 years, Jennings has served as President of Omega Plus Inc., where he provides consulting expertise to various companies looking to partner with NASA. Jennings is a member of the Board of Trustees at Marymount University, the Air Force Museum Foundation, and the Salvation Army North Alabama. He also serves on the Advisory Committee of the Alabama A&M University RISE organization where he has been key in the University government contracting efforts
