Megan Wenrich joined the Space Foundation as the Manager of DC Operations in January 2021.  She came from NASA, where she served on their Congressional outreach team.  Notably, she developed NASA’s virtual events program during the 2020 COVID pandemic to ensure continuity of NASA’s presence on Capitol Hill.

Megan hails from Rushville, Indiana, where she grew up in the middle of a corn field and was a fervent 4-Her. Megan got her start in Government working in a variety of Indiana offices, campaigns and on state and local levels of government before coming to DC.  She initially worked for an Indiana Congressman but jumped over to work for then Representative Bridenstine where she handled his schedule as well as a portfolio of legislative items important to Oklahoma.  Once confirmed as NASA Administrator, Bridenstine took her over to work in the Administrator’s suite as his Executive Assistant to work logistics and the Administrator’s appearance strategy.  He later promoted her to NASA’s legislative outreach team.

Megan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Butler University where she majored in Political Science. She currently resides in Washington DC with her husband and her pride and joy 9-year-old Redbone Coonhound Cherry.
