Rebecca Bresnik is the Associate General Counsel for International Law at NASA, where she leads the international, national security and space law practices. She has over 25 years of experience in the aerospace and space sector.  She overseas and advises on senior-level negotiations among NASA and International space agency representatives to ensure legal implementation of NASA’s international matters.Rebecca has been primary counsel for the International Space Station and Gateway Programs, advises on commercialization of LEO matters to include acting as primary counsel for NASA’s implementation of the first private astronaut mission to ISS, providing counsel on lunar and exploration activities to include the Artemis Accords.  Prior to joining NASA, she also held positions with the Office of the General Counsel of the Air Force and the Undersecretary of the Air Force for International Affairs at the Pentagon and a position with Northrop Grumman’s Air Combat Systems and Unmanned Air Systems.  She is also an adjunct Professor of Space Law at the University of Houston Law Center and lectures as a Fulbright Specialist overseas on topics of space law.  Married to Astronaut Colonel (ret.) Randolph James Bresnik and they have a son and two daughters
