Gen. Lester L. Lyles is the chair for the National Space Council Users’ Advisory Group. In this presentation Gen. Lyles discusses the UAG function is to ensure that the interests of industry, other non-federal entities, and institutions leading aerospace research, science advancement, technology development, and space operations are represented in a balanced fashion at the national level.

Retired from the United States Air Force after a distinguished 35-year career, most recently as Commander, Air Force Materiel Command, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. Prior to that he served as Air Force Vice Chief of Staff and Chief Technology Officer, and Director of the Ballistic Missile Defense Organization at the Department of Defense. Experience running large, high-technology organizations involved in aeronautical and astronautical research, development, and acquisition.
