Originally aired on: June 30, 2021
Earth is a complex system, and it is the largest system that humanity can impact. With our most intractable challenges being global in nature — climate change, poverty, access to education, etc. — we must address expand from our parochial point of view to the context they are happening on in order to address them. This panel, we will discuss how space enables us to view Earth as the complex system that it is, and can allow us to create greater systems change. Earth observation was discussed at length during the 2023 Space Symposium in Colorado Springs.
