The European Space Agency is an intergovernmental organization of 22 member states dedicated to space exploration. The Head of ESA’s Washington Office, Sylvie Espinasse, shares insight into ESA operations, the agency’s presence in America, and international cooperation between ESA and the United States. This episode is the first of a special season of Start Here for Space in which we hear directly from Washington representatives for international space agencies. International Space Agencies will soon gather for the 2023 Space Symposium.
