Kurt Eberly

Kurt Eberly is the Director of Space Launch Vehicles Business Unit in Northrop Grumman’s Space Systems Sector, Launch and Missile Defense Division, where he manages the Antares, Medium Launch Vehicle, Minotaur, and Pegasus programs. Previously, Eberly served as Antares Program Manager from 2017-2020, and Deputy Program Manager from 2007-2017, where he helped lead the Antares team to conduct cargo resupply launches for NASA to the International Space Station. In 2017, NASA awarded Eberly the Exceptional Public Service Medal in recognition of his proven leadership. From 2004 – 2007, Eberly held the position of Director of Systems Engineering for the Launch Systems Group where he managed systems engineers assigned to all launch vehicle programs.

From 2001 – 2004, Eberly led the Ground-based Midcourse Defense Boost Vehicle Integration and Test effort located at Vandenberg AFB, CA, where he oversaw integration of the first six Orbital Boost Vehicles and several booster flight tests. Prior assignments spanning 1991 – 2001 include Engineering Manager for Launch Vehicle Integration and Test at Vandenberg AFB, and Mission Engineer for Pegasus launches of small satellites into Low Earth Orbit. Eberly received a BS and MS in Aeronautics and Astronautics from MIT in 1989 and 1991.
