Maxwell Starr is a gap-year mechanical engineering student at Ohio State University with a focus on space bionics. Inspired by superheroes, he’s passionate about promoting space accessibility and innovation, particularly for underrepresented groups. As a Patti Grace Smith Fellow, he’s dedicated to supporting mentorship and mental health initiatives for young minority men pursuing their passions. He believes education, demonstration, and motivation are key to unlocking the potential of future leaders for a continuously better world.
