Monica Palko

Monica Palko is Vice President and General Counsel of Lockheed Martin Space. She is responsible for all legal functions of the business area, as well as for international trade compliance and support of Lockheed Martin’s joint venture with Boeing, United Launch Alliance.

Prior to joining Lockheed Martin, Ms. Palko was Deputy Chief Counsel of the Platforms & Services sector of BAE Systems, with primary responsibility for legal support of the Combat Vehicles business unit. There Ms. Palko led a team in support of U.S. and global business operations, overseeing a wide range of legal and regulatory matters. Her work included significant support for the sector’s pursuits in Saudi Arabia, joint venture in Turkey, and for other activities in more than a dozen countries.

Prior to joining BAE Systems, Ms. Palko was Vice President – Corporate Responsibility of ITT Defense & Information Solutions, where her responsibilities included ensuring that employees were trained in high standards of business conduct and compliant export behavior. Prior to ITT, she served in other senior in-house roles. As a Trial Attorney for the U.S. Department of Justice, Ms. Palko previously represented the military branches and government agencies in disputes regarding government contracts, personnel matters, and international trade.

Ms. Palko has extensive experience in commercial and government contracting; dispute resolution; anticorruption; and corporate governance. 

She is a member of the board of directors of the Challenger Learning Center Of Colorado and the Association of Corporate Counsel. She is a member of the Colorado, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia bars.
