When the coronavirus struck in 2020, educators had to shift classroom programs online. But that shift had serious consequences, with college enrollment falling and students struggling with science, technology, engineering and mathematics at all levels. Now, leaders from schools at all levels are trying to bring students back to classes that could grow the space workforce. But helping those students overcome hurdles remains a difficult job.
