Space Investment Analysis: What’s Driving the $546B Global Space Economy

Commercial space, government funding, and investment capital all came together to help fuel the global space economy to $546 billion in 2022, according to the latest research from The Space Report.
In this latest installment of Space Investment Analysis, Mariel Borowitz, associate professor at the Sam Nunn School of International Affairs at the Georgia Institute of Technology, and Justin Cadman, a partner at Quilty Analytics, provide additional insight into the investment and space activities behind the 8% year-over-year growth of the global space economy.
Borowitz and Cadman are regular contributors to The Space Report. Borowitz is head of the Nunn School Program on International Affairs, Science, and Technology. Her research deals with international space policy issues, focusing particularly on global developments related to remote sensing satellites and challenges to space security and sustainability. Cadman has more than 15 years of investment banking and capital marketing experience and for many of those years, has focused on space investment.
